A couple of months ago I had a viewing and tour of The Old School House Day Nursery in Hartford for my 9 month old son.... The Nursery itself is in a perfect location and the staff are very warm, friendly, approachable and accommodating, which appears to create a good environment for the children. Unfortunately, however I am not going to be placing my son with this nursery and have decided to place him with Little Frogs Day Nursery and Pre-School. This is due to the fact that during my visit to The Old School House Day Nursery, I noticed a familiar face, a member of staff who I know of as she lives local to myself in Castle. This member of staff has on a number of occasions whilst on my way back from my local mini Tesco passed me whilst smoking a joint and stinking of weed. This factor completely changed my views on the nursery as I would expect them to have a better outlook on this kind of behavior as I am sure they must have a Drugs and Alcohol Policy including random drug testing in place in order to keep children safe. For the above reason I am not leaving my child in the care of someone who is irresponsible and would advise others to not do the same.read more

My daughter has been with Paintpots since she was 9 months old and she is now 3. The girls who work here are lovely and... it's such a warm and caring atmosphere Jess the manager is also lovely and very amenable. I would recommend the nursery to anyone who wants their child in the best hands .read more
